Looking for the skillful person is hard especially in a foreign land where you can hardly find local people to perform even with just a small task. Before going further, I want to point out few criteria before hiring someone to work for your voice over or recording Cambodian voice for your promotional materials. With that as being said, you want to look for someone with the following:
- Be a Native Cambodian – the reason is that you can find many freelancers out there who don’t speak proper Khmer language to represent your product or service if you don’t care enough. - Children – for example you need a female kid age 10 years old to record your work.
- Male – having inspiring and professional voice or other type of voice like comics in some cases.

Is there any sample of work?

There are few big freelancers’ website out there such as Upwork, Freelancer and Fiverr. You can choose either one to go with to start building the connection with the talent. However, if you go with Upwork or Freelancer then you will have to post the project and the requirement to a poll of people who are on that platform. Then you will go through the interview process as they are submitting the proposal to you. If you feel good with that type of process then it should be fine.
Otherwise, I preferred something much simpler than this and I personally use Fiverr for all my works. The workflow is easy and not complicated for beginner to advanced.

- You can get the mp3 files without an additional cost, but if you need higher quality for your film project or production quality then you will need to pay fee for the .WAV files.
- For audio sync of your project, you will need to pay the fee at the rate of $10 per 60 seconds, plus 1 day and longer audio might need to discuss the delivery timeframe.
- In case you need a background sound or copyright free music track for your project, you will need to pay an additional fee of $10 per track for the talent to search the track for you.
- For 1 audio track, you won’t need to pay any fee but if you need to split your files up to 5 then you will need to add cost of $10 each (five files).
