Last week was an amazing weeks to experience with a tough deadlines of translating 5 game apps both for Android and iOS into Khmer language. The request came in during my busiest schedule of the month as approaching the end of March 2021.
My must do task is that I had to finish a subtitle translation of more than 10 video clips ordered by a Singapore based customer who use my translation and subtitle services regularly in the past few months. At best, I can manage to get all the work done within 48 hours of almost 2 hours video clips translation in an .SRT format.
The mood was super awesome! I can’t believe I got this cool feedback from my customer who is so kind in giving her words as in the following, “buying the services from Piseth for a second time. I experienced an excellent delivery and communication! Thank you! It made my day! I look forward to working with you again in the near future!
Reverting back to the game apps translation, I got 1 order at a time, so I had a chance to finish it within 24 hours per game which contain roughly 1,000 – 2,000 words in an excel translation worksheet. For those of you who are working in this industry for awhile you may understand the nature of work as in excel worksheet is a little tougher than working in a work documents. The reason is because you will have to use a lot of jump in key press between “TAB”, “ENTER”, “SPACE BAR” and “ALT+ENTER” to work on the next line of text in the same cell.
Thanks to the technology and the capability of the laptop that enable easy access switching between Khmer Unicode fonts and English keyboard easily by using “ALT+SHIFT” keys. This combination help release stress of my left hand thumb and the little finger. 😉
To mention again, it was a record breaking week of the last week in March that I achieved such awesome tasks in translating these many game apps from English into Khmer. My experience in translating various gaming apps and different kind of apps help me to get the work done faster for my clients.
